Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150, verse 6
  • "The CD recording of "Te Exaltamos con Trombones" by Demetrios Kastaris is music at it's best! This recording features everything that makes music art, excellent songs, great arrangements, and superb performances by all of the singers and musicians. It is a truly inspiring effort. Congratulations to Demetrios and everyone involved."

~Oscar Hernández, 3X Grammy Artist, Founder, Leader, and Pianist of Spanish Harlem Orchestra
  • "Demetrios Kastaris’ Conjunto Katharí is vibrant and vital, positive and uplifting, in short, everything that music should be. If, in the words of the late saxophonist Albert Ayler, “music is the healing force of the universe,” then Conjunto Katharí is therapy for the mind, the body, and the soul."

~Bob Bernotas, author of Top Brass: Interviews and Master Classes with Jazz’s Leading Brass Players and host of Just Jazz
  • "Conjunto Kathari - is a unique Gospel Salsa aggregation that successfully balances the essence of African American Gospel roots and Latino elements in its own unique blend. After experiencing them perform at Flushing Town Hall I was both impressed and uplifted by their spirit filled performance"

~Clyde Bullard/ Producer at Flushing Town Hall
  • "This might be the first time I've ever seen a band that performs Gospel Salsa however, I found it interesting and enjoyable. Conjunto Kathari was impressive and I see potential with the group and sound. I am always interested in hearing our music in different ways and with a message"

About Kathari.org

Conjunto Katharí was founded by award winning trombonist Demetrios Kastaris and arts administrator, Hilda Kastaris in June of 2010 in Queens, New York. The primary purpose for founding the ensemble was to share the life changing Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Demetrios and Hilda chose to share this message through music prepared by musical arrangers, interpreted by singers, and performed by musicians that have all mastered their artistic skills at world class levels. Demetrios and Hilda wish to make all listeners feel welcome and loved regardless of the contrasting spiritual orientations of their audiences. Read more…
